Retro Tokyo Pack
"The Olympic Games are set to come to Tokyo this summer, and ASICS is already prepared for the ensuing festivities with its “Retro Tokyo” pack. Consisting of city-themed takes on the GEL-Kayano 5 OG, GEL-Kinsei OG and Lyte, each shoe from the pack is dressed in a red and cream colorway with slight touches of blue to celebrate three different decades of ASICS’ Japanese heritage.
Colors may be uniform in nature across the trifecta of heritage runners, but each shoe offers its own unique quirks that set it apart from its compatriots. The GEL-Kayano 5 OG discards the leather that’s usually used for its branded midfoot overlays in favor of a soft suede. The Kinsei adds more classic flair to its samurai armor-inspired upper by discarding some of its usual bevy of synthetics for suedes and leathers. Meanwhile, the Lyte keeps things all the way traditional, leaving its old-school soul largely untouched." - HYPEBEAST
